Lela Mae Davis, 87 years, of Virginia, IL died Tuesday morning, July 11, 2006 at the Walker Nursing Home in Virginia.
She was born February 6, 1919 in Pleasant Plains, IL; the daughter of William G. And Emma Mudd Marr. She married Harold F. Davis on December 22, 1940 in New London, MO and he survives.
She is also survived by three daughters, Marilyn Kay Small (husband, Ron) of Houston, TX, Judith Ann Wallace (husband, Robert) of Sarasota, FL, and Linda Sue Yockey (husband, Ron) of Nauvoo; two sons, Harold Allen Davis (wife, Patty) of Virginia and Marvin Danny Davis (wife, Teresa) of Virginia; nine grandchildren, Richard Wallace, Ron Wallace, Roger Wallace, Brigit Bell, Scott Davis, John Davis, Ross Davis, Caye Perez, and Megan Davis; eleven great grandchildren; two brothers, Elmer Marr of Moline and Lester (Benny) Marr of Chandlerville; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, six brothers, and a sister.
Mrs. Davis was a homemaker, assisted her husband in managing the family farm, and was an avid collector of dolls and dishes. She greatly enjoyed her grandchildren and great grandchildren.
