Lela A. (Dowling) Yoder, 77, of Jersey Shore and formerly of Williamsport, passed away Tuesday, Feb. 6, 2018.

Born April 21, 1940, in Williamsport, she was the last surviving child of the late Norman E. and Clara A. (Carson) Dowling. 

Lela retired from the Williampsort Hospital where she worked in the mail room and did housekeeping. 

She was a talented seamstress who enjoyed making quilts and afghans. Lela was an excellent cook and enjoyed camping. Her pride and joy was her family. 

Surviving are five sons: Smokey (Val) Danley, of English Center, Jim (Donna) Danley, Steve (Carmen) Danley, all of Jersey Shore, David (Wanda) Danley, of Williamsport, and John Danley, of Cogan Station; three stepchildren: Laura Smith, Janet Simmons, and Harold Yoder Jr.; eight grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; five step-grandchildren; four step-great-grandchildren and a large extended family. 

Lela was preceded in death by her husband, Harold A. Yoder; a daughter, Alma Watkins; and eleven siblings, Norman J., Carl, John, Moe, Clair, her twin brother Lee, Norman L., Virginia, Alma, Norma, and Connie.
