Leetha O’Hara Ward was born on December 30, 1940, a daughter of the late Frankie Young Bryant in Birmingham, Alabama. She grew up in Indian Springs, Alabama where she attended school.
On February 24, 1957, Leetha joined in holy matrimony to Eddie Ward whom preceded in her in death.
Leetha, affectionately known as “Madea” was a kind and gentle soul; she had a loving and generous heart and was always giving to those she loved.
Leetha was preceded in death also by her sister Shirley Lynn; her brothers David Young and Martin Young; her daughters, Rachel and Gertrude Ward and Linda Johnson.
She leaves her loving memories to be cherished by her sons, Eddie Lee Ward of Clearwater, FL and James Ward of Ward, AL; her daughter, Leona Ward of Ward, AL; grandchildren, Khytenia Ward of Lithonia, GA, Rodrick Deon Ward of Jackson, LA, Tywon Ward of Ward, AL, Katrenia Lynn Johnson of Lawton, OK, and Robert Roderick Johnson (Chutney) of Dallas, TX; great –grandchildren, Maquandra Nesbitt (Marvin), Laquena Craig and Guy Gabriel, II of Lithonia, GA, Aria Gabriel of St. Petersburg, FL, Jazzy Ward of Houston, TX, Deondray Ward of Beaumont, TX, Deveon Ward and Jaddarius Miller of DeRidder, LA, Tywon Johnson, Anastasia Goodwin, Kerrieona Goodwin, and Kaleasa Howard of Lawton, OK, Quadri Menton, Jaydn Turner, Raqi Johnson, and Roayace Johnson of Dallas, TX; nephews, Charles Lynn and Darryl Lynn of Cleveland, OH, James David Horn of Mobile, AL; and a host of other relatives and friends.
