Cora Lee “Lee” Pugsley, 77, of Viera, FL, passed away peacefully on December 12, 2020. She is survived by her husband of 43 years, John, their son, Scott and his wife, Suzanne, of Dillon, CO; her sisters, Elizabeth Walters and Teresa McRae of Indian Harbour Beach, FL; and countless friends.
Lee and John married in 1977, and their son Scott was born in 1979. Lee begrudgingly followed John’s career from one cold climate to another settling in Beloit, WI for a number of years while they raised Scott and where she was warmly known as “The Scarf Lady” for her famous scarf tying demonstrations. Once Lee and John were empty nesters, Lee couldn’t get back to the warm climate of Melbourne, FL fast enough to enjoy retirement, and leave the cold winters behind for good.
Lee will be remembered for her warm smile, wonderful sense of humor, her total dedication to shopping, her love of aerobics classes and a natural state of happiness that bubbled over to all that were around her. She possessed the true gift of hospitality with the ability to make anyone feel welcome. She was a fiercely loving and loyal mother and wife, and is fondly remembered for being up before dawn chasing Scott around the neighborhood and toting him along to show her support for his countless activities. Lee was immensely proud of her family, and leaves behind many beautiful memories for them to cherish.
