Lee E. Weissmuller, age 55 of Millerton, NY, born and raised in Westernville, NY, passed away peacefully at his home on March 23rd, 2020.

Lee was born on April 18th, 1964 to Margret Johnson Weissmuller, and Ernest “Ernie” Weissmuller, who were married for 55 years before Ernie’s untimely passing in 2012.  Lee was a graduate of Rome Free Academy and SUNY Brockport.  Lee was the Director of the Bureau of ICF/IID Quality at the New York State Department of Health where his co-workers enjoyed his bubbly personality and smiles that could light up a room.

Lee is survived by his mother, Margaret Weissmuller, a brother Kyle Weissmuller and his partner Chrissy, niece Kylee Mierek and her husband Paul, a nephew Casey Weissmuller, his aunts and uncles; Shirley and Bill, Butch and Carol, and his cousins Debby, Billy, and Monty.  Lee will also be dearly missed by his very large circle of friends that he treated more like his family than friends.  Lee will be reunited with his father Ernie and his very special friend Gayle.

When Lee wasn’t at work he enjoyed spending time with friends and family, making people smile with his love of crazy socks, walks around his neighborhood and a perfect glass of wine to go with his dinner.

Contributions can be made to NorthEast- Millerton Library where Lee enjoyed spending time and reading with his book club.
