Lee Cottiero Capone, 81, of West Haven, passed away June 12, 2012 in YaleNew HavenHospital after a brief illness. She was the beloved wife for 57 years of Daniel “Corky” Capone. Born in New HavenJuly 12, 1930, she was the daughter of the late James P. and Louise Cusano Cottiero. She worked for the West Haven Board of Education for 25 years. She loved her family above all and the light of her life was her grandchildren. She was an avid fan of UCONN basketball, both men and women. Besides her husband, she is survived by a son, Daniel R. (Debra) Capone of East Haven; a daughter, Maria Capone (Stanley) Benedetto of Milford; two sisters, Frances Schmitt of Del Ray, FL. and Linda Cottiero of Hamden; grandchildren, Daniel R. and Jeffrey Thomas Capone and Tara Benedetto. She was predeceased by a daughter, Lisa A. Capone.
