Lee Ashby, 85, of Pendleton, passed away on May 25, 2015 at the Alexandria Care Center Alexandria, IN.
He was born on July 4, 1929 in Anderson, Indiana and resided most of his life in Pendleton. He served his country in the US Army. He retired from Delco Remy with 45 years of service. He enjoyed woodworking.
Lee is survived by his loving spouse, Mary Ellen (Edmonson Shepherd) Ashby, children, Michael (Deborah) Ashby, Donna (Tony) Taylor, step-children, Terrie (Jack) Franklin, Ruth (Jeff) Mathison, and Michael (Gretchen) Shepherd, brother, James Ashby, grandchildren, Brant Ashby, Alexis Manring, Ashley Taylor, Lorra Ashby and Adriene Taylor, 4 great-grandchildren, 11 step-grandchildren, and 15 step-great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Daisy Ashby, father, Lee Ashby, brother, Joe Ashby, first wife, Shirley Ashby, second wife, Sheryl Ashby and sister, Bonnie Ashby Dailey. The family wishes to thank the Alexandria Care Center and The Hospice Group for all their care and support.
