On October 4, 2022, Leda Fay Black went home to be with her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. She was 92 years old.

Leda was born, as a twin, on August 24, 1930 to Davis Henry and Dollie Maureen Fulcher in Sudan, Texas. The Fulcher family farmed and when work got slow they traveled around picking crops, cotton, beans which she loved because she was outdoors and life was an adventure. She traveled to Idaho as a young girl and got to spend the whole year in Nampa attending school. She loved Idaho, which we’re sure had an impact on them coming to Idaho in 1969.

Leda was married to Hinton Lindley Black on March 26, 1949 in Clovis, New Mexico.

Leda was a talented lady, who loved her husband Hinton and the four children they raised together, Bill, Regina, Larry and Roy. When Leda’s children were school age, living in Willows, California she was involved, assisting her children in 4H projects as well as a leader in the Local 4H Club (Clover Club).

Later in life she started drawing and painting, joined the Nampa Art Guild to learn and share her art in the community. She has left behind numerous colored pencil drawings, oil paintings filling her family’s homes with beautiful artwork.

Leda was always sharing her faith with others, the verse she used most often was John 3:16, “That God so loved the world that he gave His only begotten son, that whosoever believeth in Him, should not perish but have everlasting life”.

Now that she’s in Heaven her utmost prayer would be that we all join her, Hinton, her sons Bill and Roy, grand babies Cort and Bo, and all the rest of her family and friends that have gone before her.

Leda Fay Black of Caldwell died October 4, 2022.
