Mr. Leander Reed, age 85 of Huntsville, passed away Friday at a local hospital.
Mr. Leander Reed also known as “SONNY” was born October 29,1930 in New Haven, Connecticut to the late Louis and Christine Reed. Before relocating to Huntsville, AL, he was an active member of Mt. Zion and Hill S. D. A. churches, both in Connecticut. He was a member at Oakwood University Church.
He leaves to cherish his memories his children: Leander Smith, Shelia Smith, Robin Smith, Leander Reed, Jr. , Delarese Pettus, Lorraine Reed, Louis Reed, Deborah R. Pratt, twenty grandchildren (2 pre deceased), thirty-nine great-grands (1 pre deceased) and six great-great grands. A host of loving nieces and nephews, cousins, other relatives, friends and acquaintances.
