Leah M. Besser, 38, Anderson, died April 7, 2007 at her residence after a sudden illness. She was born January 24, 1969 in Clearwater, Florida, and resided in Anderson all of her life.
She worked at Delphi in Kokomo for the past 8 years. She was a 1987 graduate of Madison Heights High School.
Leah took her greatest pleasures in life in raising her son, Zachary, watching him become the fantastic young man he is.
Leah had fun with her golden retriever, Shadow Dog, and at 4-H with her horse, PJ.
She is survived by her father: Roger Besser of Muncie. Mother: Janet & husband Ron Rust of Anderson. Father: William F. Stewart Jr of Florida. Son: Zachary Douthit, age 13 and a student at Southside Middle School. Brother: Roderick Rust of Zionsville. Sister: Jami Rust of Anderson. Grandparents: Robert D. King and Betty & Tom Pavey. Aunts & Uncles: Frank & wife Donna Lay of Daleville, Linda & husband Jerry Crouch of Indianapolis, Vicki Rust & husband Tom Hardin of Anderson, Tara & husband Ernie Peavler of New Castle and Tyran D. & wife Connie King of Lapel. Cousins: Ryan Lay, Jared Lay, Nathan Beatty, Josh Peavler, Donnie King, Stephanie King, Cindy Mills, Sandra Kay Karr and Adam Shyrock. Special Nieces: Nikki Fetty and Kendra Rust. Zachary’s father: Kerry Douthit.
A host of special friends: Stacy, Stan, Monica, Lewis, Sherri, Robert, Martin and Dee. Leah lost her most beloved grandmother, Leotta Lee King 13 years ago.
