Leah LaJuana Carter
The daughter of Clifford Jesse Lee and Jean Delores (Bell) Lee, LaJuana entered this world on August 10, 1953 in Ardmore, Oklahoma and passed away on April 18, 2021 at a local nursing facility at the age of 67 years, 8 months and 8 days.
A life-long resident of Ardmore, LaJuana graduated from Ardmore High School in 1972, and then attended Oklahoma Baptist University receiving a major in English. LaJuana then completed the LPN program at Murray State College. She started at an young age volunteering as a candy striper at Memorial Hospital in Ardmore, Oklahoma. After finishing her education, she later worked in the clinic of Dr. Thomas McCullough. LaJuana retired as the office administrator with the Pickens County Title. LaJuana attended the First Baptist Church in Ardmore, Oklahoma; often singing Alto in the church choir. After her marriage to Butch Carter, she became an active member of Maranatha Freewill Baptist Church of Ardmore, Oklahoma.
Survivors include her husband, Donald “Butch” Carter of the home; mother Jean Lee of Ardmore; siblings, Bradley Lee and wife Shaun, Michael Lee, Travis Lee, Karrie Lee, Angie McMillan and husband Alan, Lorrie Harper and husband Ron, Katrina-Lee Doggett and husband Kevin and Julie Lee; step-children, Cissy Miller, Rodney Green and Donnie Carter; many step-grandchildren, great step-grandchildren, nieces, nephews and close friends. Preceded in death by her father Clifford Lee, Previous husband Donnie St. Clair and brother Harlan Lee.
