Lawrence Wayne Haun, 69 of Sharpsburg, GA passed peacefully at his home on March 7th, 2020 after a brave fight with cancer. There wasn’t a day that he stopped fighting. Born in Detroit on August 14th, 1950, Larry grew up in Michigan before serving in the Vietnam War. Upon his return, he eventually moved to North Carolina then Georgia, after falling in love with Newnan. As a master carpenter, he started his home building and interior trim companies, even visualizing projects in his head until his last breath. He will be missed by many of his friends and clients from over the years. Larry was always hard at work, always being a good father to his sons, and occasionally you could find him thoroughly enjoying some Motown music. Without a doubt, he found a love like no other when he met and married his beloved wife, Lauren. Larry is survived by his wife Lauren of 43 years; sons Dr. Paul Haun (Leanne) of Philadelphia, PA, Brian Haun of Nashville, TN; sister Cathie Knoff (Greg) and brother Christopher (Leah); sisters-in-law Eileen Haun, Sharon Haun, Shannon Haun; brothers-in-law Phil Weber, Steve Merritt, Joe Liebher and many nieces and nephews and his Labrador, Buddy. He was thrilled to know he would be a grandfather for the first time this spring. Larry was preceded in death by his parents and brothers Thomas, Robert, Matthew, and infant sister Mary Ann.
