Lawrence Walter Moore. Sr died on July 30, 2015 in Hagerstown, Maryland due to complications following a heart attack. He was 68.
Lawrence, was born on December 8, 1947 in Boyd’s, MD to the late Alfred and Mattie Moore. He graduated from Gaithersburg High School and after high school he enlisted in the United States Army. During his service he was deployed to Vietnam, he proudly fought in the Vietnam War. After his service he was employed and retired from the Montgomery county government in 1990.
Lawrence was a family man who love to cook. He enjoyed playing cards, horseshoes and smoking Cuban cigars and tobacco and his pipe. He had a great sense of humor and would call his oldest sister Dorothy every day. He would always call family on birthdays and holidays.
He is survived by his companion Aida Shelton, And his children Lawrence Jr (JR), Dexter, Charlene, Latisha, Katrina, Felicia (flee), Macie and step son Tony. Brothers and sisters are Aubrey, Dorothy, Harry (Sammy), Thelma, Mida and Melvina . Nine grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews and cousins. He is preceded in death by his father and mother, his brothers Howard more, Alfred Moore, Jr and Oliver Moore. One sister Ernestine Gray (Teen).
Mr. Moore will be cremated.
