Lawrence W. Lindgren 91, formerly of Chicago and resident of Illinois Veteran’s Home at LaSalle since November 2008, died at 5:40 pm August 24,2014 in St. Margaret’s Hospital in Spring Valley.
Mr Lindgren was born in Chicago on December 23,1922 to John and Myrtle(Sahlen)Lindgren. He married Lily Soderquist in Chicago on December 22,1945. He served with the US Navy during WWII and stationed at Great Lakes Navy Station. Mr Lindgren was owner of Acme Sample Company in Chicago,retiring in 1988. He was a graduate of Northwestern University, majoring in Chemistry.
Mr Lindgren is survived by two daughters, Cecelia Kaplan of Staten Island,NY and Linda(Terry)Ator of Franklin Grove,IL; four grandchildren, Ryan Ator of Dixon, Robert Ator of Orland Park, Michael Ator of Davenport,IA and Kelly Ator of Clemson,SC; two great-grandchildren, Elise and Sienna. He was preceded in death by his wife and one brother Robert.
