Larry passed away peacefully on June 19, 2015 at age 83 after a courageous battle with cancer. Born on June 1, 1932, Larry was raised in Delaware County, Pennsylvania. He was the son of the late Lawrence C. & Edna Scott. He was predeceased by his sister, Nancy Scott.
Following his 1950 graduation from Ridley High School in Folsom, PA, Larry proudly served his country as a member of the Navy, seeing action in the Korean War. Prior to retiring from General Chemical in Claymont, DE, and moving to Melbourne, FL, Larry lived in Aston & Broomall, PA. As an avid golfer, Larry was a member of the Suntree & Baytree Country Clubs in Melbourne. Even from Florida, Larry followed his beloved Philadelphia Eagles.
Larry is survived by his wife, Mary McCarty Scott of Melbourne. He is survived by his sister, Dorothy Ann Dougherty (John) of West Chester, PA, and his children: Karen Zenel of Newark, DE; Jean Marie Scott (Carol) of Santa Cruz, CA; Larry W. Scott (Dee Dee) of Gilroy, CA; Laurie Scott (David) of Potomac Falls, VA; and Lisa Duffield (Lou) of Reading, PA. Larry is also survived by Mary’s children: Ron Baselice (Janet) of Arlington, TX; Michael Baselice (Julie) of Austin, TX; Karen Foster (Allen) of Feasterville, PA; and Mark Baselice (Barbara) of Austin, TX. Larry & Mary shared 13 grandchildren.
