Lawrence J. (Larry) Marini, aka “Pigeon” passed away January 2, 2015 at his home in Harrington, Delaware with his beloved girlfriend Jo Anne Purcell at his side. Born in Mt. Holly, NJ, “Pigeon” was a native of Burlington before moving to Delaware. He was active in early Babe Ruth baseball and was later active in the Oneida Boat Club, the Sociatteta DiVittore Emmanuel and local Moose Lodges.
He was predeceased by his father John J. Marini (d 1963), his mother Alma J. (nee Austin) Marini (d 1986), his sister Sara (Sally) (d 1940) and his brother John J. Marini (d 2013). Larry is survived by his son and daughter in law John J. and Joanne (Mazur) Marini, his former wife Wilma L. Rader, his brother and sister in law Tom and Nancy (Majors) Marini and their children Thomas, Michael and Michelle as well as many cousins, nieces and nephews.
