Lawrence (Larry) M. Takacs, age 81, of Gulf Breeze, Florida, died May 28, 2019 at Bay Breeze Nursing Facility suffering with Alzheimer’s.
Born February 18, 1938 in Cleveland, Ohio, son of Michael & Mary (Repko) Takacs. Grew up in Cleveland and later in Orange Village. Graduated from Orange High School in 1957 and continued his education with college night courses. Worked at Air Maze Corporation right out of school and was supervisor of Research &Development for 35 years and loved it! He has many patents registered in his name.
Surviving is wife Dolores (Dee) of 58 years, daughter Elaine Maduri and husband James, daughter Karen Pettinato and husband John, son John Miller and future wife Candice. Also survived by 6 grand-children Johnny Pettinato, Miles Maduri, Nicholas Maduri, Nicole Maduri, Gracie Miller and John John Miller, as well as 4 great grand-children Nolan & Landon Maduri and Raya Bella & Evelyn Soleil Pettinato, all of Gulf Breeze. Brothers David & Tim (Sue) Takacs of Ohio and sister Judy Lipsky of south Florida.
Larry had many hobbies including treasure hunting, gardening, and jewelry making.
