Lawrence Campbell, known to his friends as Larry, was born on April 2, 1936 in Pomona, Calif. to William Robert and Arreva Jorgensen Campbell. He had four brothers and three sisters. His family moved to the Boise valley when he was five years old. His younger years were spent growing up in Garden City at the family home.

He attended Franklin and Cole Elementary schools, North Jr. High and Boise High School. In 1954 he joined the Navy. After serving with the Navy, he returned to Boise. In 1964, he met and married Shirley Holman. Shirley brought to this union a young daughter, Tammy, whom Lawrence claimed as his own. In 1965 a son, Michael, joined the family. Later, Lawrence and Shirley were divorced, but remained great friends to the end.

Thank you Dad for always giving me many great times and memories that will be with me forever.

Lawrence worked for one of the local trailer manufacturing companies and the Pullman Brick Yard.

Lawrence passed away on July 22, 2010 under the kind care of the staff at the VA Community Living Center after a long battle with cancer.

Lawrence was preceded in death by his parents, grandparents, two brothers, Robert and Richard, a sister, Margaret Cummins, three nieces and one nephew. He is survived by his son Michael, of Emmett, Idaho, daughter Tammy Holman, of Cambridge, Idaho, two sisters Janet Whitney, of Boise, Idaho and Grace Campbell, of Gooding, Idaho, and two brothers William (Sonja), of Layton, Utah, and David (Sandra), of Boise, Idaho.
