Lawrence Anthony Festa, Sr., age 82, resident of Fort Walton Beach, passed away Friday, January 18, 2008, at a local hospital after an extended illness.
During World War II, he served his country in the U.S. Army in the European Theater, and was awarded the Purple Heart. Later, he joined the U.S.
Lawrence then worked in the insurance industry. He loved the game of golf and proudly shot a hole in one during one of his countless games.
He was married for over 60 years to his beloved Dorothy, who preceded him in death in 2006.
Survivors include his son, Lawrence A. Festa, Jr., DeFuniak Springs; daughters, Leila M. Lanoue of St. Albans, Vermont, and Linda M.
7 grandchildren, 13 great grandchildren, 1 great great grandchild; and his brother, Gaetano J. Festa, Jr., of Bridgeton, Maine.
