Lavon lived life the way he wanted to. He had his good and bad days, and ways. But he lived to make people smile and laugh, especially through tough times. His heart was full of love and he was always willing to help another.
He went to Tech High School, but went on later to get his GED. He had plenty of jobs while trying to raise his son and spent as much time with him as he could. Lavon Jr., a.k.a. “Butt Head”, was his entire life from the time he was born in 2016. We called them best friend as a family. When you saw Lavon, you saw Jr. as well. All you heard was, “Dada, I want this,” “Dada, open this,” “Dada, I want to watch this.” The love he showed his son was unmatched by anyone. Now, his three year old will have to learn to live without him. Lavon loved his fame and his friend, but, most of all, he loved being a dad to his son and his two stepkids as well. Teaching them was the highlight of his life.
Lavon departed from his earthly life on Thursday May 28, 2020, at the young age of 29.
Lavon is survived by: his father, Roderick Townsend; siblings, Antwan Jones, Anthony Dixon, Aaron Dixon, Angel Townsend, Erica Dixon, and Brandon Dixon; his pride and joy, his son, Lavon B. Dixon, Jr.; his two other kids, Landis Grooms and Kanyae Crombaugh; the love of his life, Keyatta Crombaugh; a host of nieces and a nephew; also one great-niece and one great-nephew. He also had best friends, cousins, aunties, and uncles who I know will miss him as well.
Lavon Dixon was preceded in death by momma, Karen Dixon; sister, Ashley Dixon; granny, Nellie Shepherd; grandfathers, Ollie Dixon and Bill Patterson; uncle, Tommy Dixon; and his best friend, Calvin Dowdy.
