LaVerne Campbell, 80, passed away December 9, 2017 in Emmett. She was born December 3, 1937 to Rosella and Vernon Hope and raised in Emmett, graduating from Emmett High School in 1956. She worked for E.A. Radke Sales until her marriage to Russ Campbell on January 5, 1957. They attended the University of Idaho in Moscow and returned to Emmett in 1958. Russ and LaVerne raised 5 children: Cassi, Carri, Cammi (Rick), Catrina (Mark) and Craig (Michelle).
After her children were raised LaVerne worked for Dr. Larry Downer and then started her own Real Estate Brokerage. She was very active in St.
In 2007 LaVerne designed, landscaped and decorated her dream home in Emmett, hosting many bridge games and family functions that still continue today. Russ and LaVerne spent nearly 62 years of marriage together, a true admiration of many.
LaVerne was preceded in death by her parents and son-in-law, Scott Thomson.
She is survived by her husband, Russ; her children, 11 grandchildren, 8 great grandchildren and her siblings Jerry Hope (Patty) and Georgia (Larry Gardner).
