LaVerna M. Whittaker, 90, of Great Falls, died of complications from pneumonia, November 23, 2012 at Peace Hospice.
She was born April 8, 1922 in Geraldine, MT to George and Delia (Clark) Nelson. She loved her children and grandchildren. She also had a fondness for animals and was an avid horse rider. She was best remembered for her smile, politeness, and humor. She was a great cook.
She is survived by her daughters Amber McAvoy and Billie Day both of Great Falls, and Sandra Ackerman of Tulsa, OK; son Ronald Whittaker of Great Falls; 13 grandchildren; and 10 great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband William Whittaker and son Barry Whittaker.
LaVerna will be missed by her family and friends.
