Lavaughn “Vonny” Pearl Dickinson, age 71, of Taneytown, Maryland died on Wednesday, March 28, 2012 at the Carroll Hospital Center in Westminster.
Born October 31, 1940 in Taneytown, MD, she was the daughter of the late Ruth P. and Ralph Shipley.
She is survived by her husband of almost 40 years, William “Bill” J. Dickinson.
Vonny graduated from St. Joseph’s High School in Emmitsburg and the Baltimore Business College. She worked as a medical office secretary with Dr. Welliver’s office in Westminster.
Surviving in addition to her husband are daughter, Jennifer “Jenny” Hobbs and husband Jerry, Jr. of Taneytown; grandsons, Nathanial and Andrew Hobbs; siblings, Donna Stultz, Steven Shipley, and Sandy Airing all of Taneytown; 4 nephews.
