Laurie “Daniele” Cornett Hunter, 49, of Lexington, passed from this life to her Heavenly Father on September 20, 2021.
Daniele was born on May 6, 1972, in Morehead, Kentucky. She is survived by her husband, Robert Hunter of Lexington; her brothers, Robert Gillan Cornett and Andrew Cornett (Katlyn) of Morehead; her two aunts and uncles, Margie Cornett Hunter and Richard Hunter and C. W. Cornett and Terry Allen Cornett of Morehead; and her parents and step-parents, Dan and Andrea Fultz Cornett of Morehead and Eric and Peg Morrow Jones of Morehead.
She was preceded in death by her grandparents, C. B. and Irene Bowen Cornett and Gilbert and Ann Samples Morrow, and one aunt, Jeanne Cornett.
Daniele grew up in Morehead where people so enriched her life and those around her. She graduated from Rowan County Senior High School in 1990, where she served as Miss Rowan County High School, Rowan County Homecoming Queen, cheerleader, and Miss Congeniality of Junior Miss from Rowan County. Daniele was a people person and mixed with all kinds—rich or poor, genius or non-brilliant—it didn’t matter. She was beautiful inside and out! People were attracted to her because of her sweet spirit.
Daniele graduated from the University of Kentucky in 1994 with a degree in communications. She worked for Lane’s End Farm in Versailles for fifteen years. She had a great love for all animals, especially horses.
