LAWSON, Laurice J. Meints, Of Kalamazoo. Died October 30, 2010 at Borgess Hospital. Laurice was born July 28, 1926 in Comstock, MI, a daughter of Herman and Nellie Jager Meints and was a lifelong area resident. She was employed for over 12 years as a cashier at the Kroger Store and later worked as a cook for the Kalamazoo County Jail.
She loved to crochet and giving her finished products to family and friends. Laurice was preceded in death by 4 brothers, Garrett, Robert, James and Louis Meints and by 2 sisters Bertha Rose and Barbara Manning. Surviving are a sister Betty John Schaap and Arthur Eleanor Meints, all of Comstock; 2 sisters-in-law June Meints of Comstock and Marvis Meints of Kalamazoo; several nieces and nephews.
