Dobbrow, Laureston Clark, 85, passed away surrounded by his children on December 3rd at The Westerly Hospital.
Laurie (as he preferred his friends to call him) was born in Westfield, NJ, a son of the late Charles and Madeline (Beattys) Dobbrow, Jr. As a third-generation Weekapaug resident, Laurie was a veteran of World War II, and was a graduate of Bowdoin College in Maine. He had an innate ability in Sales. His career included working at, Xerox, Royal, and Sharp Electronics. In Weekapaug he was an active participant in the Foundation for Conservation, the Yacht Club, the Tennis Club, and the Croquet Club.
Laurie is sadly missed by his beloved children John, Alicen, Christine, Matthew, Annie, his grandchildren Amy, Luke, Rita, Casee, Ryan, Shawn, Jenna Laurie and great grandchild Gabriel.
Laurie had a charismatic personality with a zest for life, who treasured his friendships and enjoyed making people laugh. Throughout his life he also actively participated in photography, fishing, golf, and painting.
