Laurence (Loren) Christian Klaas-Chaney of Waldord, MD, passed away unexpectedly on July 19, 2015, at MedStar Washington Hospital, Washington, DC. He was born on April 14, 1965 in Washington, DC, beloved son of Donna Marie Klaas, Waldorf, MD, and the late Richard “Dicky” H. Chaney. He was the grandson of the late Doris and Harmond Klaas of Fort Washington, MD and the late Grace and Eugene Chaney of Bristol, MD.
Loren is survived by his mother Donna Marie Klaas, half-sisters Donna Chaney and Rebecca Grace Chaney, half-brother Richard Chaney Jr. and many cousins.
Loren attended Oxon Hill High School and Tallahassee University. He was a hard worker and a jack of all trades. He loved e-bay trading, rescuing and helping animals and simply enjoying the farm life.
Through his passing, Loren was able to benefit many lives by giving the “Gift of Life” as an organ donor.
