Laurence Garth Nielsen, age 77, passed away peacefully on Friday, August 14, 2020 at his home in Moreland surrounded by his family. He was born on March 27, 1943 in Salt Lake City, Utah to the late James Darwin Nielsen and Stella Chandler Nielsen. Laurie, as he was known by friends and family, is survived by his wife, Laura Maynard Nielsen; children, Cherie DeMilt, Kara Carroll, Kirk Nielsen Bustamonte, Araina Diaz, Zane Nielsen, Eleasa Nielsen and Lance Nielsen. He is also survived by 24 grandchildren, 10 great grandchildren and his siblings, Delyle Nielsen, Esta Atkins, Cliff Nielsen, Terry Nielsen and Sandy Poulter.
