Laura Louise Beckemeyer, age 69, of Hoyleton, passed away Thursday, February 15, 2018 at her home surrounded by her family. Laura was born January 8, 1949, the daughter of Ferdinand Sensmeyer and Shirley (Gossett) Sensmeyer. She married Eddie Gene Beckemeyer on May 25, 1968 in St. Louis, MO and he survives her in Hoyleton.
In addition to her husband Eddie of 49 years, she is survived by four children: Alina Bartlett and husband Michael of Irvington, Ernest Beckemeyer of Hoyleton, Angie Schnitker and husband Chad of Hoyleton, and Sally Beckemeyer and significant other Keith Mahnke of Iuka; four grandchildren: Layla and Keytin Beckemeyer and Gracie and Annie Schnitker; three sisters: Peggy Renteria of Arnold, MO, Janice Saxenmeyer and husband Roland of Hoyleton, Donna Johnson and husband Tim of Hillsboro, MO; one brother: Robert Sensmeyer of Grandin, MO; one uncle: Walter “Putzi” Sensmeyer and wife Shirley of St. Peters, MO; also many nieces, nephews, cousins and extended families/friends including the Fredericks who she loved very much that she held dear to her heart. Laura was preceded in death by her parents: Ferdinand and Shirley Sensmeyer. Laura enjoyed going camping, dancing, singing and playing the guitar. She enjoyed oil painting and going to Current River with her family. Most of all Laura loved spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren.
