Laura Jeanette Cole, 97, of Tunnelton, WV, passed away Tuesday, August 2, 2022, in Morgantown, WV. She was born in Howesville, WV, May 9, 1925, a daughter of the late Lawrence Salisbury and Edith (Miller) Salisbury. Her husband, Leslie R. “Jim” Cole preceded her in death, March 18, 2005, they were married 59 years.
Laura was a loving mother and grandmother, and a member of the Howesville Church of Christ. She was the last surviving member of her immediate family.
Surviving are: three sons, Leslie Cole, Jr. and wife Joyce, of Terra Alta, Jimmy Cole and wife Vicki, of Tunnelton, Roger Cole and companion Fran of Terra Alta; Kenny’s companion, Beverly Guynn; her beloved grandchildren, Joe, Sherri, Lorraine, Rachel, Erica, and Sibyl; also many great and great great grandchildren.
In addition to her husband she was preceded in death by: one son, Kenneth Cole, one grandson, Donnie Cole; three brothers, Wally, Marvin, and Richard Salisbury; and one sister, Margie Templeton
