Laura Jean Trasferini, 77, of Jensen Beach, Florida passed away at her home, surrounded by her family on July 26, 2021.
Jean, as she preferred to go by, was born in Camden, New Jersey. She lived in Glassboro until she married the love of her life, Andrew Trasferini. Jean and Andrew relocated to Franklin Township where they raised their two daughters until retiring to Jensen Beach, Florida in 2013.
Prior to retirement, Jean was dedicated mathematics and English teacher at the Glassboro Intermediate School. In her spare time, she enjoyed reading, gardening, sewing, crocheting, cooking, and baking. Jean also loved to shop for herself and her family, always intent on finding the best bargains.
She was a zealous advocate of education, as was her father. But her greatest passion by far was her family. Jean was not only a devoted wife and mother but also a doting grandmother. She will be greatly missed by all the lives she touched throughout her many years of teaching, and especially by her family, neighbors, and friends.
Jean was preceded in death by her parents, James and Nancy Delia.
Jean was the beloved wife of Andrew Trasferini for the past 53 years; loving mother of Andrea Slown and her husband Adam, and Lauren Procida and her husband Austin; and adored grandmother of Gianna, Cayden, Averie, and Maddox.
