Laura F. Bernowsky, age 86, longtime resident of Milford and beloved wife to the late Peter Bernowsky, passed away on Thursday, March 31, 2011 at Milford Hospital. Born on September 23, 1924 in Milford, she was the daughter of the late Michael and Josephine Zeblo Filanowski. Prior to her retirement, Laura was a secretary for the former Asgrow Seed Company for over thirty years.
She is survived by her devoted niece, Ruth Krasenics of Milford and her sister Anne Bomba of Seymour and many nieces and nephews. In addition to her husband Peter, she was predeceased by her brothers, George and Stanley Filanowski, and sisters Mary Willard, Helen Loxsom, Julia Krasenics, Sophie Macey and Bertha Erardi.
