Laura E. Hammond, 87, Southport formerly of Indianapolis, passed away April 16, 2014. She was born January 19, 1927 at Indianapolis to the late Clyde and Helen McCoy Tuttle. Laura married John Hammond August 30, 1946 at Indianapolis and who passed away February 2, 1999. Her survivors include daughters Leva Huckaby, Indianapolis and Helen (Roger) Harris, Southport; son John (Amy) Hammond, Indianapolis; six grandchildren; six great grandchildren; sisters Lela Phelan, Beech Grove and Joan Dale, Plainfield. She was also preceded in death by sisters Doris Peters, Billie Rupe, Pauline Emrich and Jean Stapleton.
