Laura Deborah Burgay-Alexander was born in October 1961 in California, living her life in Florida, and leaving us much too soon on May 1, 2019.
Daughter, sister, wife, animal lover and protector, volunteer, and businesswoman, Laura brought light into the world and spread it to others. With a BA in Communications from the University of Central Florida, Laura eagerly embraced communications in the digital world where she enjoyed singing and uplifting her friends and family through her words. Perhaps her early interests in swimming, dancing, playing musical instruments, traveling, being active in social groups, such as the Girl Scouts and her high school marching band, helped her to develop her ability to easily engage others, a valuable skill for her executive work and volunteer achievements.
As a volunteer for many nonprofit organizations, including board positions, Laura helped those in need with her talents in leadership and management.
Laura is survived by her sister Anita Burgay, her beloved dog Cody and her many cousins in the United States and abroad. Thank you Laura for teaching us and for allowing us the opportunity to care for you. We know you loved us all, family, friends, furry friends, caregivers, coworkers. You will be missed.
