Laura C. Greene, 85, of 316 Lord Berkley Rd., Raleigh, NC, passed away on Sunday, February 4, 2007, at Blue Ridge Health Care Center.
A native of Augusta, GA, Laura spent many years in Customer Service/Gift Wrapping, at Hudson-Belk/Crabtree, after moving to Raleigh to be with her surviving daughter, Dr. Yvonne G. Bryant, of the home, and grandson, Spurgeon Q. Bryant, III, now of Durham.
After taking early retirement, Laura was wooed back to a special position at Hudson-Belk created for her in Fine China. Testament to the dedication, dependability, professionalism, and strong work ethic she exhibited throughout her working years.
Laura was preceded in death by her husband, Leon W. Greene, of Augusta, GA, her sister, Mary Cobb, of Augusta, GA, and several sisters and brothers who had moved away.
