Laura Casagrande,91, wife of the late Ottavio Casagrande, of Orange,passed away at home on January 29, 2011. Mother of Dorene Grandjean and her husband Clifford of Waterford and Peter Casagrande and his wife Meredith of Naugatuck. Grandmother of Katherine Grandjean and her husband Zack Gragen of Marborough, Ma., Morgen Grandjean of Old Lyme, Ben Grandjean of New York City, Anthony Casagrande and Domenic Casagrande both of Naugatuck. Laura leaves behind one sister, Alice Montanari of New Milford and was predeceased by one brother Arthur Castellazzo and two sisters Blanche Bernacchia and Anna Spadoni. She is also survived by her sister in law and devoted life long friend Olga Castellazzo of Orange and her dedicated care giver Abena Agyemang. Laura worked for the Seamless Rubber Company, Edward Malley Company, Lucille’s Bridal Shop and was co owner of Crown High Deli in New Haven.
