Laura Alexandra Breen of Signal Mountain, TN, beloved daughter of Dr. J. Michael and Kathleen V. Breen, passed away Friday, March 10, 2006, in Prescott, AZ. Her tragic death occurred on an icy highway as she returned from the airport with two classmates who also departed this life. Laura, age 19, was in her sophomore year at Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University in Prescott where she was majoring in Aerospace Engineering. Laura attended Bright School and was a 2004 graduate of Girls Preparatory School. Since childhood this brilliant young student was fascinated with space. She dreamed of becoming an astronaut and working in the space program. Now, she is the newest star in the galaxy. Laura was preceded in death by her grandfather, John A. Harr, who passed away in September, and her dear friend, Nicholas DePasquale. Laura is survived by her loving parents, Dr. J. Michael and Kathleen V. Breen of Signal Mountain, TN; her two sisters, Sarah Breen, a senior at the University of Arizona in Tucson and Katie Breen, an 8th grade student at Girls Preparatory School; grandparents, Dorothy W. Harr of Chattanooga,TN; and Dr. James L. and Doris M. Breen of Hilton Head, SC; her great grandmother, Ellen Woolley of Neptune City, NJ; her aunt, Nancy C. Harr and cousin, Claire E. Piretti of Chattanooga, and many aunts, uncles, and cousins from other parts of the country.
