Larry Ray Kinsey, February 8, 1943 – March 4, 2019.
Larry Kinsey of Belton, departed his earthly life on March 4th, 2019, at age 76, after a long battle with Multiple Myeloma Cancer. Larry lived a full life by faith in God, loved his family and friends, and loved helping people.
Larry was Born in Gatesville, Texas, to George Vincent and Margaret Kinsey, but lived in Corpus Christi for his first 16 years of life. The family then moved to San Antonio where he graduated from Highland High School in 1961. Larry worked for Holt Caterpillar in San Antonio until he took the Civil Service test and became an electronic technician at Kelly Air Force Base. Larry went into the National Guard active duty for 6 months and relocated to Belton, Texas, where his parents had moved while he was on active duty. He got a job with Civil Service at Fort Hood Army Airport where he continued being an electronic technician. Larry was also a Reserve Police Officer in Belton in the 70’s and 80’s. After retirement, he wasn’t a person to sit around, so he drove a school bus for BISD from 2002 to 2009.
Larry met the love of his life, Donna Baird Kinsey, and married her in October 1967. After he married Donna, he continued his career as a medical media electronic technician at VA hospital, retiring in 1999.
Larry was preceded in death by his parents and a sister, Joyce Marie Phillips.
