Larry R. “Butch” Knotts, 65 of Tunnelton, Laurel Mountain Community, passed away Saturday, October 25, 2014 at Ruby Memorial Hospital. He was born November 8, 1948, on Laurel Mountain, son of the late Charles Leslie and Ruth Elizabeth Hemrick Knotts. Butch retired with over 40 years with the International Union of Operating Engineers Local 132. He loved collecting guns, hunting, fishing, and enjoyed spending time with his grandkids and family. Butch is survived by three sons, Mark A Knotts and Helen, Terra Alta, Jeffrey Knotts and finance Tammy, Kingwood, Leslie Knotts and finance Catherine, Kingwood; there mother, Lula “Lulu” A Tasker Knotts, Kingwood; nine grandchildren, Tasha, JJ, Samantha, Kira, Willow, Christina, Debra and Veronica, Savannah; three great-grandchildren, Zane, Malachi and Caden; five brothers, William “Bill” Knotts and Sandy, Kingwood, Charles “Chuck” Knotts and Judy, Grafton, John Knotts and Loretta, Akron, OH, Joe Knotts and Paige, Marquess, Dave Knotts, Tunnelton; five sisters, Victoria Long and Luther, Tunnelton, Charlene Long and Marvin, Tunnelton, Donna Hawkins and Kenneth, Newburg, Penny Bolyard and Tommy, Terra Alta, Trina Knotts, Canton, OH; several nieces and nephews, and his beloved puppy, Jade and Harley. In addition to his parents, Butch was preceded in death by one grandson, Matthew Knotts in 2010, one sister, Leona Sue Uphold Steele.
