Larry Ray Belo, 67, of 403 Runyon Drive, died Saturday, May 28, 2011 at High Point Regional Hospital.
Larry was born February 20, 1944 in Archdale, NC to the union of Thomas Edward and Viola Green Belo. He was a 1962 graduate of William Penn High School and a 1966 graduate of Indiana College of Mortuary Science in Indianapolis. Further studies were completed in Winston Salem, in the field of restoratory arts.
He was preceded in death by his parents; one sister, Lois Nicholson; and one brother, Clifford Belo.
Survivors include his wife, Joyce Means Belo of the home; one son, Charles Anthony (Deborah) Belo of Odenton, MD.; two grandchildren, Charles Allen Belo and Taylor Elizabeth Belo, both of Odenton, MD; three brothers, Coyt (Sarah) Belo of Oxon Hill, MD, Edwin Garnell (Cheryle) Belo, of Winston Salem, and Thomas W. Belo of Archdale; aunts and uncles, Gladys Laughlin, Annie Clinton, Dovie Rush, Ophelia Parker, Hilda (Roy) Rector and Winfred Belo; goddaughter, Sharma Reaves; a host of other relatives, including nephews, nieces, in -law, and numerous friends.
