LARRY R. GRING               

 

Larry R. Gring, 81, of Springfield, VA and formerly of Boiling Springs, died Thursday, Sept. 5, 2013 in  Springfield, VA.

 

Born April 11, 1932, in New Germantown, Pa, he was a son of the late Raymond W. and Lerew D. (Rhea) Gring.  He was the widower of Mary (Pheasant) Gring.

 

Larry held a Bachelor of Science degree in accounting and business administration from Elizabethtown College.  He was a retired accountant with the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, Department of General Services.  Larry was a veteran of the US Army serving during the Korean War in Alaska.

 

He was a former member of the Mt. Holly Springs United Methodist Church, where he sang in the choir.  He also held membership in the Boiling Springs Lions Club and the Mt. Holly Springs Golden Agers Club.  He also sang with the Carolinian Chorus in Carlisle.  

 

Surviving are a son:  N. Kent Gring of Springfield, Va and a sister:  Jacqueline Shope of Linglestown.
