Larry Lee Martin, July 22, 1952 – February 16, 2022.
Larry Lee Martin, 69, of Belton, passed away Wednesday, February 16, 2022. Larry was born to Marion G. Martin and Rosalee Hays Martin Mandigo in Fort Worth, TX on July 22, 1952.Larry grew up and graduated high school in Bertram, TX. He married Deborah Diane Browning on February23, 1974. They moved to Belton, TX and raised a family. After Debbie’s passing in 2009, he married Fran Pedron on October 30, 2010.
Larry worked as a carpenter most of his life. He was deeply involved in his children’s extracurricular activities and coached both of their baseball and softball teams. Larry was a mentor and father figure to many young men and women over the years. He was compassionate, caring and generous. He readily gave of himself to others, expecting nothing in return. Larry knew no stranger and was loved by many.
God broke the mold after he made Larry. Larry is survived by his wife, Fran Pedron Martin, son Jeff Martin, daughter Charlotte Martin Landry, sister Theresa Martin, step father John (Wink) Mandigo, and grandchildren Caitlyn Martin, Kylee Martin, Jacob Rogers and Jordyn Landry.
Larry is also survived by many nieces and nephews, as well as many relatives and close friends. Larry is preceded in death by his father Marion G. Martin, brother Michael Martin, wife Deborah Martin,mother Rosalee Hays Martin Mandigo, and brother Marion (Junior) Martin Jr.
