Larry L. Beddingfield, 74, of Meredosia, died Monday, July 20, 2015, at Jacksonville Skilled Nursing & Rehab. He was born March 17, 1941, the son of Harold and Margie Keefauver Beddingfield.
He married Dianna Hammond on Feb. 27, 1970, in Jacksonville and she survives.
He is also survived by one son, Jeffery (Ember) Beddingfield of Jacksonville; one daughter, Jodi (Jody) Parrish of Meredosia; five grandchildren, Collin, Abigail, and Faith Beddingfield, and Cooper and Cody Parrish; three brothers, Gerald (Gail) Beddingfield of Arkansas, Freddie (Serena) Beddingfield of Jacksonville and Bruce (Alice) Beddingfield of Liberty; and four sisters, Barbara Powers, Janice Frailey, Carolyn Beddingfield, and Rose Marie Beddingfield, all of Jacksonville.
He was preceded in death by his parents; and three brothers, Harold Beddingfield Jr. (surviving wife Gloria Johnson of Manteno), Everett Eugene Beddingfield, and Francis Wayne Beddingfield (surviving wife Constance of Bluffs).
Mr. Beddingfield was a Road Commissioner for Morgan County Road District #5 for many years. After his retirement, he worked part-time as a security guard for Allied Barton at T/A Terminals in Meredosia. He was a veteran of the U.S. Air Force. Larry enjoyed hunting and fishing. He loved his grandchildren and especially enjoyed watching them play sports.
