Mr. Larry Maxwell King, age 72, of Dahlonega passed to his heavenly home on December 17, 2015 at Northeast Georgia Medical Center following an extended illness.
Born April 1, 1943 to parents Henry Carlton “Shorty” King and Connie Grizzle King. He was a native and lifelong resident of Lumpkin County. He attended UNG and graduated from Gainesville College. Larry proudly served his country in the U. S. Army during the Vietnam war and was stationed in Germany. He was serving as the Director of the Housing Authority of the City of Dahlonega and was currently serving as Commander of American Legion Heyward Fields Post 239 in Dahlonega.
