Larry Kiley, age 84, of Wesley, passed away on November 5, 2016 at the Hancock County Health System in Britt. Larry Phillip Kiley, the son of Lee and Geneva (Schnebly) Kiley, was born on July 31, 1932 in Kanawha, Iowa. He graduated from Titonka High School in 1952. Larry served in the U.S. Navy during the Korean War on the USS Iowa. On June 21, 1958 Larry was united in marriage with Rose Dangelser in Parnell, MO. Larry farmed and raised sheep in the Wesley area, retiring in 2008. He was a member of the Andrews American Legion Post #428 in Wesley. Left to cherish Larry’s memory is his wife of 58 years, Rose; two sons, Dale Kiley and his wife Patti of Wesley and Alan Kiley and his wife Cheryl of Waukee; six grandchildren, Nick, Nate, Becki (Jake), Matt, Andrew (Jessica) and Curtis; five great grandchildren; two brothers, Bob (Judy) Kiley of Creston and Russell (Lenora) Kiley of Algona; and a sister, Betty. He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Charles Kiley.
