Larry Jeff Eley, Sr., age 71, of White Plains, GA died suddenly Monday, July 17, 2017 at his residence. Born in Washington, GA he was the oldest son of J. W. “J Buck” Eley and Dorothy Mae Thurmond Eley. Larry graduated from Greensboro High School in the class of 1963. After high school he graduated from ABAC with an associate of Dairy Science. Larry and Nancy Rowe were married on August 23, 1968. At the time of his death he was still running Larry Eley Farm Supply in White Plains, GA. Farming was his life and he was a member of the Georgia Farm Bureau since 1969. Just this year in February, he was inducted into the GACD Hall of Fame.
Survivors include his loving and devoted wife, Nancy Rowe Eley, of White Plains, GA; daughters, Amy Simpson (Charles) and Beth Clifton (Chad); sons, Jeff Eley and Mark Eley (Tawny); grandchildren, Lauren Eley, Lea Eley, Lindsey Eley, Henry Eley, Will Eley, Ella Eley and Kaeley Clifton; brothers, Jamie Eley (Dollie), Phil Eley (Jan), and Keith Eley (Cheryl) all of White Plains, GA; many other relatives and numerous friends.
