DURHAM- Mr. Larry Jackson Wilson, Sr., 79, passed away on Wednesday, December 16, 2020.

Mr. Wilson was born on March 6, 1941 to Hermus and Mary Eileen Wilson in Durham, NC. He was the owner and operator of Larry’s Towing and helped create three generations of proud business owners. Larry proudly served his country in the United States Army National Guard. He was a member of Olive Branch Baptist Church for several years and was also, a member of the Amran Shrine Club, the Amran Hillbillies, and the Bull City Street Rods. Larry enjoyed going to their vacation home at the lake and spending time with his family there. He was all about his family; they had a very strong and loving bond as they spent as much time together as they could. Mr. Wilson was a very talented man and could play any instrument, but he especially enjoyed playing the mandolin. He was a forgiving man, never judgmental, and always made time for family and friends in need. Larry will be remembered as a loving husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather.

Mr. Wilson was preceded in death by his parents, Hermus and Mary Eileen Wilson; brothers, Richard Hancock and Jimmy Wilson; and grandson, Blake Lee Hill.

Mr. Wilson is survived by his loving wife of 57 years, Sandra H. Wilson; daughter, Trina Pendergraph (Tyler); sons, Larry Wilson, Jr., and Craig Wilson; brothers, Bobby Hancock and Philip Wilson (Beverly); sister, Judy Roberts; grandchildren, Brandy Hill (Justin), Grant Childress, Jessica Wilson, Jordan Childress, Caitlin Wilson, Jacob Wilson, Kaylee Wilson, Brooklyn Wilson, and Brittney Wilson; great-grandchildren, Bailey Hill, Branson Hill, and Skylar Childress; and other loving family members and friends.
