Larry G. “Jake” Jackson, 71, of Rising Sun, IN, passed away at 5:50 PM, Friday, April 30th, 2010 at Ripley Crossing in Milan, IN. Larry was born in Aurora, IN on December 31, 1938, a son of the late Irene (Moorehead) and Arthur Jackson. On April 7, 1973 he married Linda (McPherson) Jackson, who passed away on March 15, 2001. Jake lived most of his adult life in Rising Sun, IN. He always had a smile on his face and a joke on his lips. He was a veteran of the United States Navy and a member of the Rising Sun American Legion Post #59. Jake was a graduate of Aurora High School Class of 1956 and a member of the Aurora Eagles. He retired from Grand Victoria Casino in 2002 where he was maintenance supervisor.

He is survived by
two daughters, Dawn, wife of Jon Butcher, of Seymour, IL;
Holly, wife of Joe Brewington, of Milan, IN;
two sons Larry Jackson, of Rising Sun, IN; Joey Jackson(Reesea), of Rising Sun, IN;
two step sons Christopher Bear(Ivette) of TX; Michael Bear, of Milan, IN;
by grandchildren Brandin & Cassie Butcher, Bailey Jackson, Joseph Brewington, & Branden Bear , and by a great nephew Michael Wanschaff

Larry is also survived by
a sister, Patty Gossett Helton(Richard) of Rising Sun, IN;
a brother, Kenny Jackson(Frances) of Aurora, IN;
a niece Diane Wanschaff (Bill) and several other nieces and nephews.

Mr. Jackson was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, Linda and by a son, Todd Alan Jackson, and by a brother, Richard “Dickie” Jackson.
