Larry J. Haas, 68, of Freemansburg, passed away at home on Sunday, January 1, 2012. He was the companion of Joyce Frey for almost 20 years. Born in Breinigsville, he was a son of the late Albert and Miriam (Ziegler) Haas. Larry graduated from Northwestern Lehigh High School, and then worked for Bethlehem Steel until 1995. He greatly enjoyed his family, especially his grandchildren. Survivors: Companion Joyce Frey; children Rebecca Matlack, Daniel Haas, Peter Haas, David Haas; niece Dorothy Ebert; 5 grandchildren; 1 great-grandchild. Larry was predeceased by a brother Carl Haas, sisters Nancy Kuhns and Barbara Haas, and grandsons Raymond and Ryan Haas.
