Larry Jay Horton, age 84, of DeWitt died on April 11, 2024 at his home surrounded by his loving family.Larry was born on January 5, 1940 in Alma MI, the son of Howard and Gertrude (Ruthruff) Horton. Larry graduated from Alma High School and later enjoyed working for MSU and General Motors as a power plant operator. In 1994 Larry married Maria Paris and together they enjoyed over 30 years of marriage.During his life, you could oftentimes find him hunting, riding his snowmobile, and was known by his family as a handyman. He had a passion for farming as he was born and raised on his family farm. Larry and Maria also took many wonderful trips together to Mexico, Alaska, Australia and Europe.Those left to cherish his memory are his wife; daughters, Bonnie (Scott) McCorvie, Shellie (Ron) Walter, Nancy (Dan) Gitre and Trish (Jim) Burgett; sister, Marilyn Smith; thirteen grandchildren and nine great grandchildren.
